Sprinkle some common sense on the home inspection

I hate the words "my home inspector missed that/this" Really are you perfect at your job? Maybe the home inspector was distracted that day by your questions about the home that do not matter ie: like a scratch on the wall

I would like to same that my team NEVER misses the important BIG stuff, the costly stuff

  • Owning a home means things will eventually break, leak, or wear out—whether it’s months or years down the road. That’s just part of homeownership. Do not call us 10 months or 3 years later about an issue that home has already broke down quickly

A home inspection, though, is not a guarantee against future problems. It’s a snapshot of the home’s condition on the day of the inspection. We look at what’s visible and accessible at that time, but we can’t predict what might happen 1 day, 6 months or a year later as systems age or parts fail.

I know it’s never easy dealing with repairs, but I hope this helps explain the difference between what an inspection is versus the ongoing maintenance that comes with owning a home."

  • "Every home will eventually have something break or leak — the inspection just tells you how it looked that day."
